About Kanda Catholic Church
Kanda Catholic Church is a historic church founded in 1874.
Because Christianity was banned at the time, it was first established in 1872 as a Latin school. After the ban on Christianity was lifted and the school was closed, the chapel became an independent church and has been loved by many followers.
Kanda Catholic Church was repeatedly damaged by events such as the 1894 Meiji Tokyo Earthquake and the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, but it was rebuilt each time as a place of worship. The current chapel was completed in 1928 and is registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property.
In addition to being open for viewing from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (except on Mondays), Mass is held every Sunday at 10:00 AM and Friday at 10:30 AM. You can see the chapel's beautiful stained glass, a holy relic of St. Francis Xavier, and more.
The nearby "Phone Booth" has become a pilgrimage site for Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc

A phone box located very close to the main entrance has become a pilgrimage site because it resembles a location that appears in Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc.
It is from the scene where the protagonist, Denji, enters the phone box to avoid a sudden rain, and the beautiful girl, Reze, arrives. Because Denji gives Reze a gerbera flower in this scene, many fans take photos there with flowers.
If you leave this phone box and walk a short distance, you will find "Onnazaka" and a road very similar to the route Reze takes to her part-time café.
